Our Food Suppliers
Here at The Three Horseshoes we try to source all of our ingredients within 50 miles and to do this we keep our menu seasonal and use whatever fish is available.
Meat comes from Barclay butchers, Wincanton. They source all of there meat from farms within 20 miles .
We also have our own Gloucester old spot pigs on a local farm and use them to make our own sausages and ham
Fish is delivered daily from Kingfisher in Brixham and Samways of Bridport, The fish on the menu changes frequently depending on what comes in on the boat in the morning, This is the most sustainable way for us and the fish industry.
The majority of our vegetables are from John Rowsell in Ilminster. John’s home grown banana shallots are award winning and have been featured on the great british menu.
Dairy products come from Longman Cheeses in North Cadbury, They source their milk and cream from local farms.
Our cheddar comes from Westcombe dairy (1 mile away), who make the award winning Westcombe Cheddar. Most recently best cheddar at The Royal Bath and West Show 2011.
Buffallo Mozzarella comes from Allam Wood Farm Organics, which is 2 miles away.
Bread is delivered daily from Taylors traditional bakery in Bruton.
